            We successfully delivered a new 63mm medium-pressure (MP) gas service to supply a U160 gas meter housed within a GC6 kiosk, overcoming a range of technical and logistical challenges.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The point of connection (POC) was located approximately 150 metres from the site, requiring open-cut excavation across an industrial roadway, followed by trenching along the verge and into the client’s premises.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The project was further complicated by legal and access constraints, including securing permissions for road crossings, managing easement agreements, and coordinating works across land owned by a third party.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            ﻿
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Through careful planning, stakeholder engagement, and strict adherence to regulatory requirements, we were able to complete the installation safely and efficiently, delivering a reliable medium-pressure gas supply while minimising disruption to the surrounding area.

           This project involved the installation of three utilities: a 63mm gas main, 63mm water main, and dual electric supplies (95mm and 185mm).
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The gas and water works were completed using standard installation methods with no significant challenges. In contrast, the electrical installation was more complex. Prior to works commencing, UK Power Networks (UKPN) undertook reinforcement works to enable the new connection.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The project was located in an affluent and high-footfall area of London. Due to the busy footpath and restricted working space, the team carried out approximately 43 metres of hand digging to safely install the ducting while minimising disruption.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           A further challenge involved installing the low-voltage (LV) cable along a constrained route into a below-ground basement, requiring careful planning and precision.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            ﻿
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Despite these complexities, the project was delivered on time and to a high standard.
          &#xD;

           For this project in North London, Argon installed a 300mm 3c waveform cable from the point of connection to a 600amp heavy duty cut-out situated in an external GRP for a temporary building supply (TBS) to give site temporary power whilst there were building works underway, UKPN carried out the energisation. The TBS was then converted to a permanent supply after we installed the full site mains and services, and the TBS was pot ended and removed. UKPD were the adopting independent distribution network owner.

           For this project on behalf of Veolia in Shrewsbury, Argon was appointed to deliver new gas infrastructure for a commercial property, including installation of a new MP gas main, service connection, meter, and outlet pipework.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           To begin, Argon connected to the existing MDPE MP gas main and installed approximately 140 metres of new MP main, with full CP and AE attendance. All public-side excavation and reinstatement along Vanguard Way were completed by Argon, while excavation on private roads was carried out by others.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Argon then installed 5 metres of new MDPE Medium pressure gas service from the new main to an external GRP kiosk, which Argon supplied and installed.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           For metering, Argon supplied, installed, and commissioned a new medium pressure Smart Gas Meter with Chatterbox, configured for 100 mbar outlet pressure and 1291 kW/h load.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Argon delivered new utility infrastructure for a commercial development, completing all public-side excavation, connections, and commissioning while private-land works were carried out by others.
          &#xD;

           two new MDPE low-pressure services were installed, each terminating in colour-coded GRP kiosks with fire valves and ECVs. Argon supplied and installed the kiosks, and all works were tested and certified.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           For water,
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           one 63mm and one 32mm barrier pipe service were installed internally, each fitted with DCVs and stopcocks, including chlorination and testing. The works were coordinated with statutory approvals, traffic management, road closures, and parking suspensions, delivering fully compliant and operational utility services.

           Argon was appointed to install a new fire hydrant protection main within a private development for B&amp;amp;M Retail at Ellesmere Port.
          &#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The scope included laying approximately 308 metres of 125mm barrier pipe to form the new fire hydrant main, and installing a new fire hydrant. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           All works were carried out within private land, requiring close coordination with the client to manage access and site conditions. After installation, Argon completed full commissioning, including pressure testing and verification, ensuring the hydrant system was fully compliant and ready for operational use.

           Argon was successfully awarded a commercial development to install the new Medium Pressure (MP) gas network supplying ten commercial units within a private development. Argon connected to the existing MP main and installed 2,568m of new MP gas main in line with the client’s approved design, completing excavation and reinstatement within 1 metre of the connection point. 
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           Argon then installed 10 Medium pressure gas services, each fitted with a Fire Valve and ECV, and supplied 2 bespoke kiosks, 7 GRP kiosks and 1 Uni Box. Ten concrete plinths were constructed to support the kiosks. All works were fully tested and certified, delivering a safe and compliant gas infrastructure system ready for commercial use.

           Argon have been commissioned to install a new 63mm barrier pipe water supply from the client’s plant room, terminating at a boundary meter and box . Due to the public main being a critical feeder main to thousands of dwellings, the Argon team will work closely with Thames Water to carry out the mains connection.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Prior to the completion of the service connection onto the parent main, the service will be fully commissioned and tested providing a safe and compliant water connection for the new development.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;

          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Argon have started to install x2 300mm Triplex cables approximately 360m from the Point of Connection and will terminate on site into an 800kva Transformer, further updates on our progress will follow in due course.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           We will be working closely with TFL and Hackney Council to help minimise disruption for the public and maintain safe working practices following NJUG guidelines at all times. Argon will be commissioning the Transformer, completing all testing and UKPN will be completing the closing joint.

            Argon was commissioned to remove a redundant gas main located within a public footpath. The works involved excavating approximately 90 metres, breaking out and disposing of the existing pipe.
           &#xD;

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The scope also included the excavation of two joint pits to facilitate UKPN operations, along with the exposure of five electrical ducts, which were subsequently relocated into the void created by the removed gas main. Upon completion, the footpath was fully backfilled and reinstated, and the site was handed back to the client with all works completed.

           Argon installed a 300 mm 3-core waveform cable from the Point of Connection (POC) to the internal termination point, a 600 amp HDCO located in the plant room. The project was for a university accommodation development in the heart of Canterbury.
          &#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The council initially requested a full road closure; however, following on-site meetings with the council, the works were successfully completed under traffic light control, minimising disruption to local residents. UKPN carried out the energisation, and UKPD acted as the adopting IDNO.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

            For the Ashley Road Block B &amp;amp; C development, Argon Utility Infrastructure delivered the full installation of a 300mm triplex high-voltage cable route, supplying two new substations serving the scheme.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Our team installed the Leg 1 cable into both Substation B and Substation C, managing all civil and electrical elements required to bring the network up to DNO standards.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Once our installation was complete, UK Power Networks carried out the closing joint, making the final authorised connection into their live network. This collaborative approach ensured a safe, compliant and efficient energisation process.

           The Charlotte Street project has been a challenging one, not only due to its central location but also because of complex ground conditions, particularly the high concentration of existing underground services. Our on-site team, Greg and Vas, have been working tirelessly to maintain a safe working environment, with public safety and satisfaction being a top priority throughout.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           We are currently installing a 125mm duct from the point of connection (POC) on Windmill Street to the termination point on Charlotte Street for our client, FM Construction. This duct will house a 300mm² three-core cable, which will terminate in the basement of what will soon become a high-end hotel. The installation includes connection to a 600A combined CT metering unit, fused at 400A.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           UK Power Networks (UKPN) will carry out the closing joint, which will be located within their buried substation.

            The end client, Home Bargains, required the installation of five EV charging stations at the Romford Retail Park. Our scope included the design and build of a complete solution tailored to Home Bargains' requirements.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Collaborating with our design house, we developed a fit-for-purpose system and secured both Network and IDNO approval for the installation of a 250 kVA transformer to support the charging infrastructure.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           The Argon team carried out all civil works, ducting, cable pulling, and installation of the EV charging units. In partnership with our substation installers, we sited and installed the substation, coordinated with the Network provider to complete the non-contestable closing joint, and successfully energised the site and the charging stations.

            This project involved the renewal of an existing 4” ductile iron (DI) gas main and 26 associated service connections using the dead insertion method.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            A total of 135 metres of 4” DI main was safely abandoned, and in its place, we dead inserted 135 metres of 75mm polyethylene (PE) pipe. Once the new PE main was in place, all existing service connections were successfully transferred onto the upgraded 75mm PE infrastructure.
           &#xD;

           This project involves installing a 355mm/250mm PE MP Main and service from the 500mm MP Cadent network main located 868m away from site, terminating in a bespoke kiosk with a 102m MP meter.

    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           The carriageway excavation was completed under two-way traffic light control throughout the project to ensure safety and minimise disruption to residents.

           For our Montpelier project, we installed a 300mm waveform cable across the road to the site boundary, reducing it down to 95mm to supply plots 1 and 2. Additionally, a 95mm run was installed on-site, extending towards plots 3 and 4. All properties were provided with 3-phase services due to their size.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           The project was for the construction of four luxury homes in W5, London, with a value of £9.6m. One of the key challenges was the lack of available parking bays. Despite placing no-parking cones, they were frequently moved, and vehicles continued to park, making the installation process more difficult.

           A road closure will be in effect during the works, with significant efforts having been made to maintain good relations with local residents to limit the disruption.

            During the planning phase, there was some confusion regarding the size of the parent main, which required clarification with NGN to ensure proper compliance and alignment with specifications.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           At St Marys we installed 134m of 150mm ducting, 120m of 300mm waveform, and 15m of 300mm LSOH LV cables with the project being delivered on time and on budget.
          &#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Alongside this we have also completed the civils for the installation of a new 90mm water service. This project was completed on behalf of our client TGG Utilities.

            After coordinating and securing permissions from two different network owners, our team arrived on-site to complete the installation.

           The Ashley Road project is a 4-6 month undertaking to install 2.7km of UKPN-spec cable ducting and high-voltage (HV) cable to support a new development by Haringey Council.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Phase 1 involves installing approximately 300 meters of ducting and cable from the northern boundary to the project site. This work will begin in residential areas, with careful planning to minimise disruption to residents. As each section is completed, the site will be restored to allow residents to reclaim parking spaces as soon as possible.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Phase 2 shifts to the southern part of the site to install the remaining 2.4km of cable along more complex sections of the TfL road network, including Monument Way and the A10 High Road. This phase presents additional challenges due to the high-traffic nature of these routes.

            Another new mains replacement project started this week for our client SGN, in Blandford Forum, Dorset. We’ll be working to strict timescales on this project as the local Council wish to minimise disruption to the local community.
           &#xD;

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The works include replacing leaking old 8” ST infrastructure with new PE pipe, and then relay existing services to customers properties to eliminate the many leaks that get reported regularly.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
